Verbier Ski resort is famous ski area located in southwest Switzerland (in the canton of Valais) and it is a home to the finals of the Freeride World Tour and has a reputation for some of the best off-piste and steep skiing in the world. Skiers gather to the resort to take on the famous off-piste itinerary runs such as Tortin, Col des Mines and Mont Gele. The area is very popular with advanced and intermediate skiers, but beginners can also have a fun for sure.
Verbier is a part of the 4 Vallees ski area that encompasses several resorts and features more than 80 lifts and 400km of ski runs. It’s a massive area, with 11 villages and it is similar to famous France’s 3 Vallees. Almost all of the 4 Vallees is above the tree line, and the only times you really ski through trees are on the runs home at the end of the day. Some of the lower runs can get quite sun-affected, though they do have snowmaking.
Apart from skiing, activities include snowboarding, sledging, many sports opportunities and family organized fun.
